This class introduces the numbers, letters, colors, and conversational greetings for the Greek language. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for children ages 4 – 6.
This class focuses on letter blending, numbers, days of the week, months, and additional conversational greetings for the Greek language. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for children ages 5 – 7.
This class focuses on beginning reading and grammatical concepts. Weekly vocabulary is assigned and conversation moves beyond greetings. The class meets once a week for two hours and is geared for children ages 6 – 8.
This class focuses on independent reading and present tense verbs. Weekly vocabulary and greater emphasis on grammatical concepts. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for children ages 7 – 10.
This class further develops the students’ reading, speaking, and writing abilities. Additional vocabulary and verb tenses are introduced, while conversation continues to be developed. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for students 8 – 12 years old.
This class covers half of the material for the Ellinomatheia A2 exam, but with heavy emphasis on speaking. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for students 8 – 12 years.
This class covers the remainder of the material for the Ellinomatheia A2 exam, but with heavy emphasis on speaking. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for students 10 – 14 years. This is the graduating class for the conversational track of the Greek school program.
Every May, the Centre for Greek Language, Ministry of Education of Greece, organizes worldwide certification exams in Greek Language Proficiency. These exams are open to all candidates regardless of ethnic background, who are learning Greek as a second or foreign language. Successful candidates are awarded with an official certificate (offered at 6 levels A1, A2, B1, B2, Γ1, Γ2) having passed a comprehensive exam that tests the 4 language skills: reading, writing, listening, speaking.

This adult class introduces the Greek language and focuses on conversational skills. Some grammar is covered and by the end of the year, basic reading of simple sentences will be attained. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for individuals 18 years and older.
This adult class continues to develop the conversational and grammar skills acquired in the beginning course. By the end of the year, students will be able to read longer passages and write simple sentences. The class meets once a week for 2 hours and is geared for individuals 18 years and older.

By the end of the year, students will be able to read longer and more complex passages and can write sentences that have richer vocabulary and syntax.
